Century 21 Real Estate LLC, franchisor of the iconic CENTURY 21® brand, recently unveiled a total visual logo rebranding campaign with the intention of reinvigorating and modernizing one of real estate’s biggest and finest icons.
Century 21 Real Estate LLC is a world renowned American real estate franchise company, headquartered in Madison, New Jersey and originally founded in 1971. Today, the franchise has outgrown its humble beginnings and consist of approximately 8,000 independently owned and operated franchised broker offices in 80 countries and territories worldwide with over 118,000 sales professionals.
Whilst the brand name and work formula of Century 21 was continually developed and grew around the world, the dated logo of the brand was left behind. It was felt that the old logo did not flow in an aesthetically pleasing way, smashing together the text and jumbling the letters in awkward angles. In an attempt to remedy this and reinvigorate the logo and identity it brings along with it, the introduction of a bold and more modern take on the existing logo was commissioned.
Overseen by CEO Nick Bailey, the aesthetic overhaul is intended to signify Century 21’s “big, bold, ambitious moves ahead”. “It was time for a remodel, so we tore the old house down to the studs and rebuilt it with our most valuable asset in mind, our agents.”
Through this philosophy that Century 21 Real Estate introduced, a new sophisticated logo for the brand was designed. Featuring a refreshed color palette, the logo stays true to its iconic gold and black color scheme, while also embracing new slick graphics. Through the elimination of complex and dated iconography, this new logo identity offers all CENTURY 21 System members a clear stage for their unique personalities and styles to shine through, while still providing a simple and timeless “gold standard” seal of approval, all in a modernized look. The new logo was also aimed to project the modern customer view in the estate market properties such as commercial spaces and apartments.
With the American real estate franchise company always striving for ways to benefit its agents, improve their services and relations with customers, a brand logo redesign was the first step for Century 21 as they down a future path coated in opportunity. “This is just the beginning of the bold ambitions we have for challenging existing conventions in real estate relationships and to progress the industry in ways that favor the consumer yet directly help our agents and brokers break through the clutter and noise and win in the markets they operate in,” said Cara Whitley, chief marketing officer, Century 21 Real Estate.
