FIRST AID TRAINING AT FAMALCO GROUP

Eleven employees from various companies within Famalco Group have started following a First Aid training programme which is being delivered in collaboration with St. John Ambulance.
The course has started on the 5th March with 2-hour weekly sessions and will run until 7th May at the Famalco Head Office. Christian Mangion, Sales and Route Development Manager with Fahrenheit Freight Forwarders Co. Ltd., who is also a member of St John Ambulance is delivering this course with the aim to equip these employees with the know-how to deal with emergency situations at work and in any day-to-day situation.
This course will be mainly dealing with incident and casualty management, administering Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), heatstroke, fainting, minor and major epileptic fits as well as other injuries and incidents. All participants will have hands-on practical sessions and at the end of the course will be required to sit for an assessment session leading to certification as first aider. This certificate recognized locally and internationally, will be valid for a period of three years, following which a revision course can be taken.
