Following a successful year of record breaking sales in domestic and international markets, Korean motor manufacturers ; SsangYong, proudly entered 2019 with the unveiling of their newest addition in their product line; the Rexton Sports Khan, released under the name of the Musso Grand in Europe. The vehicle which has already arrived on the Maltese islands courtesy of SsangYong Malta, has been hailed as another success story, with critics identifying the pick-up as a truly impressive vehicle well worthy of its praise.

The new Musso Grand shares the basic blueprint of the ever popular SsangYong Musso model, however the vehicle itself has been enhanced and improved in an effort to specifically target drivers keen on driving a bigger vehicle well suited for outdoor activities and leisure sports, with its larger storage space and increased adaptability and versatility.

The Musso Grand model has benefited from a modern approach towards its exterior design. Looking slicker and sharper than ever, the vehicle’s curves and edges emphasize the progress and enhancements pick-up model has received. The vehicle shows off a well-sculpted handsome front profile, with imposing headlights on top of its highly durable and improved grille. The endurance and quality of the Musso Grand easily shines through it powerful, tough and muscular stance, evidently showcasing its eagerness and capability to easily navigate through the harshest of environments.

The Musso Grand is 31 centimeters longer than the previous model, with a 5.4 meter-long body. The height and wheelbase have also been increased by 1.5cm and 11cm, respectively. The long-bodied vehicle is highlighted by an increased load capacity of 1,262 liters, which is up 24.8 percent from the Rexton Sports. This enables the Grand to carry up to 700 kilograms on its deck, up by 75 percent from the previous model’s 400 kilograms.

The interior design of the vehicle has also undergone an entire remodeling enhancement, increasing the levels of refinement and contemporary ambiance more akin to a premium SUVs where the high quality well-fitted quilted nappa leather seats compliment the spacious natural feel of the vehicle. When designing the newer model, improvements were made specifically to the accessibility and luxurious space within the vehicle, with the implementation of increased legroom and elbowroom in all possible areas. The vehicle also employs a high volume of technological features available to their drivers, such as, multi-adjustable seating, automated air-conditioning, ambient night-lighting, climate control and the supervision cluster ensuring a modernized and comfortable driving experience.

As is always the case with SsangYong vehicles, a high importance was placed by engineers on the safety of both drivers and passengers. Implementation of new state-of-the-art technologies on the Musso Grand, including a newly developed ultra-high-tensile quad frame, the addition of 6 airbags, curtain airbags, side airbags, the best-in-class 79.2% high-tensile steel enabling weight reduction and body strengthening, as well as a quad frame made with 1.5-GPa ultra-high-tensile giga steel, has helped solidify the vehicle with some of the best safety enhancements available.

The 2019 Musso Grand model has secured its place as SsangYongs headliner, boasting an evolution of engineering fused with a progression of vehicle exterior design and passenger convenience. Critics and experts have helped elevate the already popular pick-up vehicle into an even stronger market position, with many drivers keen to try their hand behind the wheel of the exciting pick-up vehicle.
